MPH students and DrPH students are required to complete a field experience. The MPH practicum serves as a structured and significant educational experience intended to give students the opportunity to turn theory into practice by developing professional skills in a public health field. Field Immersions allow DrPH students to work closely with senior public health practitioners and leaders, contributing to important projects and frameworks around organizational capacity, service delivery, policy initiatives and, ultimately, consumer and population health.

Go to the DrPH 页面 or Field Practice 页面 to learn more.

Each generation of students benefits from the generosity of the alumni who came before them. 68% of our students receive financial aid, and donor support is critical. These funds are spent down in their entirety each year and must be replenished on an annual basis.

My time at Harvard changed the way I look at the world and the way I look at health. I want to protect and promote that opportunity for others.
      - Priti Lakhani, SM '13, Councilor, Alumni Council
I stay involved with Harvard Chan because as a Harvard Chan alumnus, I enjoy having an active lifeline to some of the most incredible experiences that I had as a Harvard Chan student. Through my current role as an Alumni Councilor, I hope I can help revive for some and possibly awaken in others an opportunity to relive these precious former experiences, while creating new ones, for current and future alumni alike.
      - Phillip Blanc, MPH '10, Councilor, Alumni Council
I stay involved with Harvard Chan because I believe that the School can lead the movement to make public health a priority everywhere.
